Insight Kids

My son now already went to school.......after searching by google and some information from friend we finally send him to Insight Kids school at Ampang.

This is actually not a real school, it is only a small playing group where maximum only 4 child per class. what made me interested with this school is because it offer psychological clinic as well, so we expect that the teacher will understand my son better than any ordinary teacher.

If i am not made a mistake, i pay around 2.800 for one term, it is quite good compare to any other school with same quality.

Until now he already spent 2 and a half month there, i see a lot of progress, he is now more talkative even though  his pronunciation is not much better but his vocabulary is increased a lot.

Before he is registered to this school, our son is really active but not willing to talk. He even not always respond when we trying to call him. That is why when i visit a pediatrician in one of a famous expensive and exclusive maternity hospital in South Jakarta Indonesia, the pediatric said that something problem with him so then she give a recommendation letter for me to bring him to an autism specialist. However, i didn't trust her so i just ignore the recommendation letter although of course i search a lot of information about autism. But since then i found out that the autism sign is not shown at my son except the fact that he often not responding if we call him so i feel better, i just give him more time.

But now he is really ok, he always respond when someone call him, he also try to communicate with everybody, and the important thing is he always happy to go to school.

Trip to Hangzhou [2]

At 10 PM the airplane landed at Hangzhou, there is one "almost embarrassed incident" happen. I ordered one Nasi Lemak meal on board, it's completed with sambal (traditional chili sauce) i don't think that it is too spicy so i just eat it without any consideration, however right after the pilot announced that the airplane is about to landing, i feel a nature calling from my stomach, it's an immediate emergency calling, Oh My God i don't know what to do, no one is allowed to enter toilet during landing, i hold the hand rail tightly while praying to God that i can pass this horrible situation. I realize a passenger beside me notice my condition, but i think he might guess that i am just too scared for landing. After pray with sweating body for 30 minutes, the plane finally safely landed and i burst to the stair and run as fast as i can to reach the airport toilet. Thanks God i am did it, landing safely at the closet, pyuuuuh. I think from now on I'll never eat any spicy food on board, noooo wayyyy.

After fixing my appearance, hair, clothes, face etc i off to the immigration officer, nothing really matter in the gate. After pass out the immigration officer i walk to the exit gate, i saw so many people stand outside with a piece of paper on their hand, i search Xiang face but no result, maybe she is late so i decided to sit. I sat next to 5 Malaysian girls, i recognized them from their language and their attire, i guess they are a group of student.

30 minutes passed Xiang still not shown, i began to worry, i look surrounding with hope to find any of communication devices so i can contact her, but no result so i return to my chair. 10 minutes later finally she's come with her sister i feel so happy, Xiang and her sister really look similar each other. We are then proceed to parking lot, XIang sister's drove a hyundai to downtown.

A trip to Hangzhou

I am now study in one of international university here in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, as an international student i have a chance to meet a lot of friends from around the world. One of them is Xiang who is originally from Hangzhou China.

Last January when we have winter break semester, she invited me to visit her hometown, since i think it is the best time to go, when i can have a chance to experience snow falling, and being frozen in winter which of course i never felt before so i decided to go.

There is direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Hangzhou using Airasia, the ticket is quite cheap 1.200 MYR, maybe around USD 400 with 20 kg baggage. It is actually high season since so many Chinese Malaysian are go back to their big family home town in China, maybe during off season it would be a lot cheaper.

I choose to flight on Monday evening, i am off from my home on 2 PM, my 2 years old son crying so hard when he see me packed with a big luggage, i think he is understood that i will go for a long time.

When i arrived to LCCT airport i still have a lot of time, i do killing time with "people watching".....my waiting room is side by side with passenger to Kathmandu, I notice there are a lot of Chinese face but with dark skin who are going to Kathmandu, Nepal. I cannot conclude who they are exactly, maybe Chinese or maybe Nepalese.

Suddenly i awake in the middle of the night and thinking about how if i post something in my blog which already been abandoned for months.

I also read my previous post in this blog and found out that years before i am a totally different person. Previously i am an energetic, full of spirit girl, looking the future as bright as her mind. I wonder where is she now? Where is Ivy the wonder woman? why now i am getting weaker?

Something has happen, something has buried inside.

I know that, i lose my fire, yesssss my fire!!!!!

Children school performance and television

Many researchers have found that there is a strong link between viewing television habits and children performance in school. Most researchers found that children who spent most of their time watching television get a lower grade in school than their friend who watching television fewer.

This activity also affected to their ability to communicate with other people, they spent to much time to sit and follow the story in the glass screen, that make them don't have a time to learn a physical activity which stimulate more nerve and logic. television then led children to be more passive than active.

They also believe that television doesn't have so much program which have an education value, a program like cartoon movie, are only have a little education value.

Actually i do agree with their conclusion, but i'll tell you a story about my friend who spent his childhood in United States. When he is at 3, he spent so much time watching television which show a reading and writing teaching program, his nanny give him a paper and pencil to write. he did it almost everyday, after about a month he already able to write and read without anyone at home teach him directly.

Well so then i think it's not about watching television or what, it's about the program they watch, and the time management also i think. A smart parents have to know which program are good for their children, and which program are not, and they also have to manage how much time that their children have to spent in front of the television and how much time they have to spent to play any physical activity.

Shopping is fun, really relaxing and enjoyfull, but with the current situation where traffic jam is everywhere, going to the mall to buy shopping is no longer fun.

Thanks god somebody found a technology to make us can buy and sell everything by the internet. Now if we need to buy something we just type the stuff name and the online shop search engine site will help you to find the most comportable online shop all around the world.

Yesterday i was bought a personal computer for my younger brother, he is a secondary school student now, he need a computer with a latest specification. And as an online shopaholic, i bought it online off course. Just click, pay, and voila next day the personal computer are in the front of my door yuuuuuuuuhu!!!!!

I plan to buy a laptop for my self next month, and again i'll buy it online too.

Dota all star

Since me and my boy friend already had a commitment to married, we have to save our money for the wedding ceremony.

Hence now we have to spend our sphere time without wasting our money, so then playing a games online is a choice.

First we play this at 24 game center at Sarinah Building, next to MU cafe, here we only have to pay Rp 6.000,- per hours. And then we found a new place, named Gamesphere at Bulungan, this place is a lot cheaper, only Rp 2.000,- per hours hmmmmmmmm sounds good ya? This center had a lot of computer with an ultimate specification part. While playing the games, we can also surf the web.

Furthermore, not only us who saving the money, my friends also doing this, so then we join and make a group. One of my friend had an unoccupied room in her house, and she have a reuter too, so then we make own game center in her house, everybody just bring along their notebook and conect it to the reuter, and then we play all day long......hmmmmmm nice.

The only game that we always played together is DoTA all star, this game is about to destroy the opponents' "Ancient". The two teams' ancients are heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and controlled fighters called "creeps". As in role playing games players level up their hero and use gold to buy equipment during the mission.

Now, we can save a lot of money during week end, no more expensive restaurant, no more expensive beauty center, night club and something like that.

Online Shopping

I don't know why i really really really love to shopping online, i just open the internet, search the stuff i need, contact the vendor, send the money then you just sit and relax to wait the stuff come to my door. I don't need to lose my money on gasoline, i don't need to be trapped at the jam, i don't need to wear a sunblock or something, wow such a wonderful way to shop.

One of my favorite things to buy online is perfume, why? because we already know the brand that we always wear, we don't need to try it before, so we just click on our favorite brand and then that nice stuff will appear in front of our door.

Last time my friend told me about an online store which sell perfumes, gift set, skin care, they event sell a tester too, wow so we can buy a branded perfume at a low prices, hemmmmmmmm really nice.

I think i'll buy a gift set for my boyfriend too, i'll buy him a gift set which contain aftershaves and perfume.......isn't it's cute?

Gourmet Garage Fresh First

Last night i go for a late supper to Gourmet Garage Fresh First, it's a fresh market integrated with restaurant. Located at Kemang Raya street No 66 South Jakarta.

It's building has 2 floor, first floor is fresh market which sell any raw food that really fresh and complete, they use so many timber in detail, starting at the main gate, the timber are look so old, look like come from the past 100 years ago. First time coming in, we will find a rack which sell magazine and greeting card and then a rack with many unique household. Then you'll find sooooo many raw food in the next rack, like crab, prawn, tuna, meats, pork etc.

The second floor is Oyster Bar and other resaurant, my boyfriend order a fresh raw oyster here it's named Snow creek, for me it's so gross. I order Veal bratwurst hot dog, hemmmmmmm so nice, the sausage so tastefully, and the bread are so different, crunchy and tastefull.

My boy friend order Rottiserie chicken and chicken quasadillas as an appetizer, This rottiserie is actually an Chicken Barbeque with olive oil. My friend order spagheti carbonara, Unagi Yanagawa Nabe, Gohan and new york steak sandwich.

I just know that Gohan is rice, ha ha. And we also order Robert Mondavi Chardonay.......it's an American wine, i love this one.

And for all of these, we pay for Rp 910.000,- nett ....... a lot of money yea? yea yea yea

But i feel satisfied.......

The zero point day

I don't know why i often feel a things like a zero point day. When everybody seems like ignore me, everybody want to hurt me, no one support you, you have no money, you have nothing at all.

And now i feel that things too, i see my friend had a happiness because they get an annual bonus, and i don't. My boyfriend didn't call me last night, i don't have a home to stay, i only have a small sum of money.

Sigh, looks like i have no sunshine anymore in my life

New year eve

Actually we planned to spent the new year eve at Prontovenere at The Riztcarlton Bali Mega Kuningan Jakarta, but when i check the price whoa it's really not affordable, Rp 1.200.000,- per person not include tax hemmmm way too expensive.

So then we decide to spent the new years eve at Pepenero Italian fine dining, located at Plaza 2 Pondok indah, it's a small private restaurant, only two floor yet larger than Pepenero Menara Karya kuningan, but for me i prefer for Menara Karya than this branch. At Menara Karya the chef more friendly they occasionally come to our table to ask about how good are their menu or offering a special menu. I didn't fing the same thing here. or maybe because it's a new year eve so they are more busy than usual.

They placed too much air conditioner i think, we sat right below a high capacity air conditioner, and then in the front of us there is an air purifier spraying steamed air to our face, rrrrrrr it's so cold.

I ordered a beef steak with red wine sauce and sauteed spinach and mashed potato, at that restaurant this menu was named with a long word but i'm forget now, i think something like de chanti or whatever. But it's delicious, the meat are melted at our tongue ummmmmmm yummy, we also ordered white wine.....my boyfriend order the same thing and bitterballen with sparkling water as an additional. For 2 persons we only spent 350.000,- hemmm cheap right?

one hour before 12 PM we move to The Hooi, a bar next to Pepenero........waiting for the countdown. It's a small place, only about 40 m square, designed like old tavern, with live music and high chair, so many expatriate and Indonesian girls there. We choose to sit at the back yard to avoid the smoke, because one of my friend is curently pregnant.

The waiter and waitress not wearing a uniform, their face look so tired and there no smiling at all. Yeah maybe it's a hard night for them.

My wedding journal

From now on........this blog would be my wedding journal, since my beloved boyfriend proposed me a week ago...... :-)

First thing to do is decide which venue we will held our special occasion........

First we choose Bandung my hometown as our location, Monday 29th December 2008 we went to Bandung to meet my dad. we meet at Sindang Heula sundanesse restaurant. After the we surveying venues.

My friend told me that there's a gallery in Bandung which named 'Gallery Wisnu' which can be used as a wedding hall. It's located at Komplek Muara Bandung, actually it's a large house with garden, they serve venue, tent, flower and decoration, Rp 17.500.000,- for whole pacakge. But it's such too small, i think it's only enough for 500 persons only. Yet the idea for held a wedding in a place like this are unique.

Blogsvertise

Yuhuuuu......

I finally paid by blogsvertise........i already get job from blogsvertise twice, it's from Grab Bag Task (GBT) and after 1 month awaiting, they really paid.......it's $ 7,5 ha ha, only a little bit money but it's hillarious because i finally believe that we really can get money from blogging.


Actually it's not the first time for me to earn money from the internet, i ever try in Paid to Click program, but it's takes a loooooooong time, takes about 4 months to get $ 5,5.....such a long time hah?

I just don't understand why i've heard so many people can get a lot of money from the internet, i don't know how, because from my experience, i didn't get a lot of task from Blogsvertise, or Smorty......

Jakarta,s Restaurant Part two........

Ranch Market
Actually it's a daily market which sell fresh vegetables, meat and daily needs, but they also providing a ready to eat meal. Located at Margaguna street next to Pondok Indah Mall.
We can choose any kind of meat and ask them to cook it for us. My boyfriend choose Wagyu and i choose Australian rib eye.......first thing that i found is it's really hard to find a table to seat........and then after that they take a loooooooooong time to serve the food. Usually i eat at Ranch Market at Oakwood building in Mega Kuningan, and i didn't find this problem at that branch.

Abuba Steak
It's a huge steak restaurant which placed at Cipete area next to Pangeran Antasari, the menus are Sirloin, tenderloin, sausage, fillet, etc. They started from a small steak restaurant, and then they became famous and getting bigger. The price are really cheap, ranged from Rp 35.000,- until Rp 60.000,- but i don't like the ambience, and the service are poor, we wait too long to served. And for me, the taste are just so so.

Tomodachi cafe
Located at Bellagio Boutique Mall at Mega Kuningan, it's my favorite place to lunch, not because they are special but just because my office are only 2 floor above them.
They served european food like steak, my favorite is Tomodachi beef steak with mash pottato, and Indonesian food like oxtail soup, Balinese Ayam betutu, or biterballen as side dish and various kind of cakes as a dessert, my favorite is Strawberry cheese cakes. The price for main menu are ranged from 27.000 - 65.000.


Golden Jade
Also located at Bellagio Boutique mall, Ground floor, it's a Chinese restaurant. Nothing special in this restaurant, just like any other Chinese restaurant, serving dimsum, porridge, noodles.......

PEPeNERO
Was known as "TRATTORIA", it's an Italian fine dining located at Menara Karya Building in HR Rasuna Said street South Jakarta........i was ordered meatloaf, the taste are really really good......maybe it's the best for me, with olive and mashed potato, hemmmm can't forget the taste. Actually i'm really tempting to try the cesar salad, but too bad i was forget to tell the chef to don't put a bacon on it since i'm a moslem. So i order and not eat that salad.
They also serve various bread and chips, and it's all in the house for bread and chips. But just like any other fine dining, it's quite expensive (at least for me....:-), for 4 persons we paid Rp 1.200.000,- man it's a lot of money for me...........

Jakarta's Restaurant

Since i have a relationship with a man who really love to eat, now i have a new activity........visiting many restaurants. Let's make a list where i've eat with him and like it..........
But don't make it as a refference because i have an eating disorder.

American Grill..........
This restaurant also known as Sizzler, their main menu is steak, they serve appetizer and desert for free, i think the ice cream are nice.
we choose Menteng Branch.......located near to Keris Department store, i choose a tenderloin steak........i think it's not as tasty as i remember, i've been here about a year ago.

Duck King.........
Located at Pondok Indah Mall, they serve chinesse food........we order Duck, Lazy Fish (Ikan Malas) and prawn.......but i don't like duck, and the fish.......uuuugh i don't like it too because it's looks so wet, fortunately i order the prawn, because for me the prawn is the best. My boyfriend said the duck and the fish is soooooo tasty......it's the best in town

Hanamasa
Located at Blok M........it's a Japanesse all you can eat restaurant, they serve shabu-shabu, tepanyaki, chicken triyaki, and so on. Every tables have their own grill and boiler. Everyone can take their own meat and grill by your self.

Sushi Tei
Located at Pondok Indah Mall, it's a raw food Japanese restaurant, they also serve food at a carousel, so if you don't like to wait you can take your food by your self. They serve Sushi and sashimi like Dragon Roll, Ikura Gunkan, etc. Since i don't like sushi, for me, there's nothing special with this restaurant.

Ikan Bakar Kalimantan
We go to this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend friend birthday, it's located at outskirt area, Cimanggis Depok, near Cibubur. It's a restaurant which serve freshwater fish like Gurame, shrimp, calamary, etc. They also serve lalapan ( a fresh raw vegetable, serve with sambal - Indonesian traditional sauce) and Karedok (fresh raw vegetables with peanut sauce)......it's Sundanese traditional food. This restaurant are so over crowd, actually the food are so tastefull, but if we considered the distance form the down town, i have no idea why people come that far for this restaurant.

Kepiting Asap
Located at Jalan Panjang Green Ville West Jakarta, they serve smoked king crab. We can choose the crab by our selves. There are two kind of crab, it's a male and female (i don't know the appropiate term) the male have more muscle, and the female have an eggs inside. Side dish are Kangkung Cha, Fried tofu, Oxtail Soup, etc, they also serve fresh coconut as a beverages. The crabs are so fresh and yummy, i like this restaurant.

My Hp 520

At Indocomptech 2008 which held at Senayan Sport Hall, I was bought a HP 520, since my kost house were facilitated with an internet conection, .......now i have a new habit........Browsing everyday!!!!!!!!

First thing to do when i get into my bedroom is connecting my laptop to the internet and go...........

My favorite site is Facebook (i think i got addicted to this one.......) Kaskus (an Indonesian forum), Detik (a news site), Yahoo Messenger and off course..........BLOGGING!!!!!

But now my sleep time was reduced, and then i feel so sleepy at the office........hem i think i have to beware of this.

But i don't know why i'm so addicted with the internet, although i do browsing at the office too, so i think i do surfing on the internet for almost 20 hours a day.........Oooops

Actually i really interest to monetize my blog, but i don't know why until now i don't event get even one penny from blogging hiks............

A new era has begin

Sony PlayStation 3 can played Sony Playstation 2 games and former PlayStation.

The distinctive of this Playstation 3 is the bluetooh joystick which can played with another 7 joystick together. So we don't need any cable anymore, more practical and user friendly.

This joystick also ble to use at all times 24 hours without charging, beside this blue tooth, also available WI-FI, Ethernet Gigabit adaptor, 6 USB 2.0 outputs totalnya, 2 at the front side panel and 4 in the back side, HDMI outputs (for big screen "full digital"), some AV output and S/PDIF optical output for audio-video amplifier.

With multi prosesor which made by IBM Power pc 3,2 GHz speed, the main memory is 256 MB XDR, for the graphic visualitation they choosed NVidia Geforce 6800. Not only play a games, we can also surf the web too, so enjoy it!!!!

Layoff

Due to the global crisis, many company look so panic......one of my boyfriend client company do the same thing, they are a real estate company who develop an integrated city at Jakarta outskirt, now they had a plan to layoff.....wow that's so horrible, because as i know they are a big company with a great cash flow.

My company client also panic, they are an international bank, they do retrenchment at every division, it's effected to their requirement to my company, since my company is the outsource company for their facility management, they starting asking about why it's cost this high? why it's need to repair? how much a good cost for repair this and bla bla bla, Although they are the most healthy bank in Indonesia i guess, because i heard they had do acquisition many national bank in Indonesia. So i think they don't have to that panic.

In my opinion, the circumstance will getting worse when more company get panic. I heard Indonesian government applied a new rule in foreign exchange trading, i think it's a good step to help Rupiah rate, and eventually it will help real sector. But well i'm not an economist, so actually i'm not really understand about it.

At last, this situation make me feel so scared, actually i have a plan to search for a new job before, but when i see the earlier situation in Indonesia and global economic which is so unpredictable, better i consider it again. Sigh!!!!
